Neither the Red Sox nor the Angels look like the playoff teams of 2009 that faced each other in the ALDS. Both have records under .500.
However, last night the Sox took out their frustrations from being swept in Baltimore & scored time & time again to beat the Angels 17-8. A win is exactly what the doctor ordered to start the homestand.
Multiple HR's by several Sox players. A grind-it-out performance by Clay Buchholz. Another error by Andrian Beltre. But, in the end, it was a win. And the Sox need to have a big homestand to get back into the AL East race.
It was a good start.
