I almost couldn't watch. The Sox were ahead by 2 in the bottom of the 9th - again. Pap came on to close - again. There were runners on base - again. But last night Pap blew away Randy Winn for the final out & a 7-6 win at Yankee Stadium.
It is deja vu all over again. Just when you think the Sox have 2 feet in the grave they put together a great effort & show that there's still some fire left in their hearts.
Lots of big performances - Youk & Hermida in particular. But none bigger than Pap snagging a hard hit ground ball back to the mound, keeping the runner at 3rd from tying the game & getting the 2nd out at first in the 9th.
Let's give the Sox credit for last night's hard fought win.
