Just when you thought the ship was being righted it turned off course again today. The Sox bullpen wasted a good effort by Tim Wakefield & lost 7-6 in 10 innings. The Sox had one the previous 2 games, each by a run, on Friday & Saturday. Their rally fell short today in the 10th.
At least this is another series win, even though the homestand turned out 4-6 & overall the Sox are a mere 8-11. The 4-game sweep by Tampa Bay really set them back & the Sox have been swimming upstream since.
Off to Toronto now for the start of a 6-game road trip. The return of Dice-K should be an interesting sidelight.

It wasn't just the bullpen. The Sox had their chances with runners in scoring position during regulation, but failure to put the ball in play hurt them; as it has all year.
