Life is good again. Lackey pitches into the 7th. Hermida gets a big 3-run double late. And Big Papi doubled for good measure. A win on the road, even a win that's not pretty like this one, is a plus. I'll take it.
How good is Theo looking with the pick-up of Jeremy Hermida? He is a solid corner outfielder & has chipped in some mighty big hits so far this year. At this rate we may be seeing Hermida as the successor to J.D. Drew in the Sox outfield in another year. He has been solid through Spring Training & it has carried over into April. Good for him.
And how about mighty man Pedroia with another home run today? He saved Lackey from another no-decision with that bomb.
Bard has been off & on, giving up a homer in the 8th, plus Pap is a little scary. We'll take the win though. Oki got the biggest out of the game in the 7th with the bases loaded.
Let's finish the series with another win tomorrow.
