With lefty Francesco Liriano starting for Minnesota today Tito is pulling out his best right-handed lineup against the Twins. Mike Lowell gets the start at DH over Big Papi. Billy Hall gets the start in LF over Jeremy Hermida. The sole lefty to start the game is J.D. Drew.
With Jacoby Ellsbury resting bruised ribs Marco Scutaro will hit leadoff again. Scutaro has proven to be a versatile guy in the lineup, hitting last & first. He singled & scored a run from the leadoff spot yesterday.
Tim Wakefield pitches again today. You wonder if Wake isn't headed for the pen once Dice-K is ready to get back into action. He would be an excellent long man or someone who could start a clean inning.
A win today would mean 2 road series wins for the Sox before they start a 10-game homestand against Tampa Bay, Texas & Baltimore. Let's get it done.
