Red Sox -13, Jays -12

Two words that haven't existed yet in the young 2010 season -- "run prevention." Theo, you are way off so far!

One of my brothers like high-scoring games. He must have loved the one last night with pitchers on both sides giving up lead after lead. With 25 runs scored I guess you can say the best news is that we won.

The win brings the Sox back to 9-11 with 3 games left in April. 3 wins would put the Sox above .500 which would be a huge accomplishment after a poor, poor start. They could finish April 12-11.

May looks to be a very tough month with series against the Angels, Yankees (2), Tigers, Phillies & yes, Tampa Bay. We will see by the end of May if the Sox have made enough adjustments to better their April start. Or perhaps it will be time to start talking trades.

Instead of going for another power hitter, the Red Sox went fot pitching and defense in the off-season. So now we have poor run production (last nights game aside), lousy starting pitching, and we are 11th in the AL in defense. It's not time to panic yet but...........
