It's a crappy start to a 1-3 season so far as the Sox blow another lead & lose 4-3 to the lowly Royals.
Where is the relief pitching? It certainly hasn't shown up yet in the past 3 losses in a row. No one has been able to pitch a 1-2-3 inning. Tons of free bases given up via walks. Lots of hits & inherited runners scoring as well.
Tim Wakefield pitched the best game of the year. He has nothing to show for his efforts. Okajima & Bard are the culprits tonight as they change a 3-2 lead into a 4-3 loss.
And what's with that umpire Mike Estabrook. His strike zone is as erratic as Angel Hernandez. If I was a pitcher or a hitter, I'd be guessing what's a strike or ball with him behind the plate. Everything is more frustrating when you lose.
And we get Zack Greinke tomorrow. Bahhhh!
