Josh Reddick & Ryan Kalish are not household names yet around Red Sox Nation. Both are outfielders. Both hit from the left side. And both have been doing something positive to help the Sox win in Fort Myers.
There is nothing standout-ish about either player. Yet, they do all the little things right - hit the cutoff, drive in a run, keep an inning going with a base hit, take an extra base. They remind me of J.D. Drew. When Drew is in a game, more times than not, he will do something positive in the field or at the plate to help you win. (It'd just keeping Drew on the field that's a problem.)
Reddick had a few hits (2 HR's) for the Sox big team when he was called up in 2009. Kalish hasn't made a splash with the big team yet, but he will. With Drew & Cameron getting older these guys could be their replacements or part of a bigger trade in the future.
I like Reddick & Kalish. I hope they stay.
