How Do You Spell Middle Relief?

With pitching touted as a strength of this year's Red Sox addition I'm not so sure about middle relief from Manny Delcarmen & Ramon Ramirez.

In games we are leading after 6 innings the "A" relief team is Okajima, Bard & Pap. But those 3 can't pitch everyday.

Delcarmen & Ramirez both had horrible 2nd half's last year. I always think of Delcarmen as a 50/50 proposition. If he's not walking batters & getting behind in the count, he's OK. Last year Ramirez had the same streak of Manny wildness in the 2nd half after a very good 1st half. Yesterday, for example, Ramirez was unable to get one batter out against the Mets. If Delcarmen & Ramirez don't find the plate, it could spell big trouble for the Sox in the 6th & 7th innings.

There may be a few young arms from Pawtucket that get a chance at middle relief if Delcarmen & Ramirez don't improve.
