While Jon Lester & John Lackey had good outings yesterday in Grapefruit League competition, Dice-K also had a good outing throwing to Sox farm hands in a side session. If it's good news about Dice-K, we'll take it.
Dice-K is now scheduled to start a Grapefruit League game on Sunday. Does he have enough time left in Spring Training to catch up to the other starters? Who knows? If he can go 2 or 3 innings on Sunday, maybe. There's still 2 weeks plus to Spring Training. Most starters break camp ready to go 5 or 6 innings in April.
It would be nice for Dice-K to get on a positive roll now with no other setbacks. We will need him plus Wakefield plus Buccholz to get to 95 wins this year.
