Beckett Ready to Open Season

Josh Beckett mowed down the Pirates for 5 innings today. He is on track to start the home opener on April 4th against the Yanks.

Also, the offense hit 3 home runs today. Just wanted to throw that in. As Spring Training moves along, the Sox hitters are starting to go yard with more frequency.

With Pedroia's wrist injury not serious, x-rays negative, we should be ready to start the season with a totally healthy squad. Even Dice-K makes a start tomorrow.

I can't think of anyone else I would want on the mound than Beckett on April 4th. He has the ability to carry a team, like 2007, & he is in his contract year. Can't wait for the regular season to start! Bring on the Yankees.
