Josh Beckett missed his scheduled start yesterday. No injury involved, just the flu.
Dice-K was suppose to throw off the mound, but a stiff neck kept him from his scheduled performance. I hope this is not a year where it's one injury after another for Dice-K. First his back, now his neck. It must be frustrating for him too, especially after getting in shape for Spring Training via the Athletes Performance Institute in Arizona.
Every year we always talk about the surplus of starting pitching. It's nice to have a Tim Wakefield & a Boof Bonser in the wings - just for these situations. At this point you would think that Wake will be one of the 5 if Dice-K is not ready when camp breaks.
It will take a great effort by all the starters to get the Sox through the regular season & playoffs. Can't have enough pitching.
