The Red Sox website is reporting that the Sox are working full speed ahead to finalize a major trade for Roy Halladay. Is that a good idea?
News of the Sox efforts to land Halladay will spur the Evil Empire to get into the bidding war for his services as well. Names like Buchholz, Chamberlain & Hughes are rumored to be part of these trade talks.
Personally, I think Buchholz has a young arm that can benefit the Red Sox for many years. Halladay has a lot of miles with several seasons of 200+ innings per year to his resume. How many pitches are left in his arm?
I'd stay young & spend the extra money to keep Jason Bay.
