Finally, A Win

Jonathan Papelbon closed out his 28th save by mowing down the heart of Detroit's order 1-2-3-4 to preserve a 6-5 win. The Red Sox snap their 6-game losing streak on a night that the Yankees lose at home to Toronto.

Offense was back at Fenway. Pedroia, Green & Bay all went yard. Brad Penny went the first 6 innings, giving up 3 runs. Delcarmen was ineffective in relief, giving up 2 runs to tied the game at 5-5.

The biggest hit of the night wasn't a hit in the scorebook. A sac fly by Nick Green in the 7th plated J.D. Drew with the 6th & winning run. Nick Green played well in the field & contributed at the bat with 2 RBI. Nice team win.

Now we can all sleep at night. The Sox offense is back.
