Ellsbury & Gonzalez Contributing

Two guys that get lost in the Red Sox lineup are Ellsbury at the top & Gonzalez at the bottom.

Jacoby Ellsbury has played flawless in CF all year. He should be up for a Gold Glove Award by the time the season is over. He has also broken a 30+ year old record for most stolen bases in a season, previously held by Tommy Harper. In this latest stretch of games Jacoby has had multiple hit games, getting on base & driving in runs. He has become the offensive threat at leadoff that the Red Sox were hoping for.

Alex Gonzalez is no stranger to the defensive side of the ball. He was sure-handed in 2006 for the Sox & still is in 2009. Alex has played errorless ball at SS since rejoining the Red Sox. He has also contributed at the plate, even a few HR's like the one last night. Theo may a great pick-up as opposed to Guzman from the Nationals.

Both Ellsbury & Gonzalez are contributing to big wins down the stretch.
