Clay Buchholz was impressive last night, going 8-1/3 innings of 1 run ball in a 3-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He had command of all his pitches, something missing in previous starts.
I had the pleasure of attending the game last night. It's amazing to me how well the field drained after a full day of heavy rains. The grounds crew did a great job of getting the field ready.
Also amazing was how full the stands were on an "iffy" night. 37,000 + clapped & shouted the Red Sox to another victory last night. I sat next to a couple from California who moved to Rhode Island 10 years ago. He is a Red Sox fan, she was a Yankees fan. Other than directing us to look at the standings (which I said I couldn't see), she was rooting for the Red Sox to win.
Live baseball is always a great treat if you can get out to a game. Young & old, male & female, the Sox appeal to all.
