Sox Continue Their July Struggles

It's hard to be a Red Sox player, manager or fan these days. For some reason every Red Sox team struggles coming out of the All-Star break. This year is no different. With an 11-12 record in July this will be the worst month of the first four.

Losing again to the lowly A's 8-6 last night, coupled with a Yankees win, leaves the Sox 3 1/2 games off the pace. With only 1 home game left before a 10-game trip through Baltimore, Tampa Bay & New York the Sox need to find themselves. A poor road trip could open a gap, perhaps a big enough one, that would knock them out of the Wild Card. The Sox road record this year is under .500.

Theo & Co. need to pull off a big trade for a bat, for a pitcher, for anyone who can help this team down the stretch. Inconsistentcy rules right now. One night it's no offense. The next no pitching. Cliff Lee & Jack Wilson are gone. Why wait until Friday? Let's do something today.
