The Red Sox offense is showing signs of a comeback. In their 7-2 win over the Orioles tonight there were 3 doubles & 2 homers. Maybe the offense is finding their groove again.
It's always a welcome sight to see Big Papi go yard with a 3-run jack. New guy Adam LaRoche made a favorable first impression with a 2-run shot of his own. Jacoby Ellsbury chipped in 2 doubles.
Jon Lester pitched into the 8th. Bard & Ramirez shutdown the Orioles the rest of the way. John Smoltz goes for the sweep tomorrow.
A Yankees loss today puts the Sox 1-1/2 behind. It's going to be a great stretch run.
