Anyone need a #1 starter in their rotation? Toronto is ready to deal Roy Halladay for the right package of players.
How dumb is that? Better yet, how would you like to be a season ticket holder in Toronto? Maybe management has given up on this year & they are ready to re-build. What does that say to the current players who have amassed a winning record so far this year?
It's very unlikely that Halladay would be traded within the AL East. He also would need to waive his no-trade clause. Probably a national league team -- Phillies, Dodgers, Mets, Cardinals, Braves, Brewers -- would pony up a parade of prospects & current players to get him.
To me, it's just a weird thing for Toronto to do at this stage of the season.
