Big Papi Making A Comeback

David Ortiz would like to forget the months of April & May where he struggled to hit .200 & found himself batting 6th in the order.

June was a big turnaround for the big guy with several home runs & an average closer to the .300 mark. July is looking to be a continuation of June. Ortiz hit a towering homer to right-center last night through a gusty wind to put 3 runs on the board. He is using all fields & driving in runs, important runs. Just what the doctor ordered while Mike Lowell is on the DL. We need a good dose of the old Ortiz for the rest of the year.

If the Sox can finish off the final 4-game series with Kansas City before the All-Star break in 1st place, that will be quite an accomplishment as Lowell rests up for a good 2nd half of the year. The Yankees & Tampa Bay are not going away.
