The Red Sox finally win a road series in Detroit by taking the first 2 games out of 3. Josh Beckett was in vintage form, flirting with a no-no into the 7th.
Gee, 3 good starts in a row by Lester, Dice-K & Beckett results in 3 wins. Funny how that correlates. Let's hope all 5 (or soon to be 6) starters get on a roll during June & we create some space in the AL East before the All-Star break.
Back to Beckett, he is just an overpowering force when he locates his fastball, mixes in his curveball, uses his 2-seam fastball with tail & finally his changeup. The Beckett of 2007 is back & none too soon. It's great to have this guy in a Red Sox uniform.
