Bay Slays Gotham Again

In the biblical story David took out Goliath with a slingshot. Fast forward to 2009 & Jason Bay.

Jason Bay broke out the long ball in the 7th last night to give the Sox a hard fought 6-4 victory in New York. This is the 2nd time that Bay has crushed a meaningful home run against the Yankees that ended up in victory for the Boston nine.

Bay had some helpers in the form of Jon Lester, David Ortiz, Mike Lowell & Jon Papelbon. Good pitching & timely hitting spelled the end of the Yankees for the 4th time in 4 tries. It was another classic Red Sox-Yankees match up that went down to the last pitch.

This is the best rivalry in all of sport. It was worth watching until 1:00 AM.
