Just your typical Red Sox-Yankees game, right? Red Sox pull off a come-from-behind victory in 11 innings 5-4.
Many good things happened:
- Good for Jason Bay to remind Mariano Rivera that he blows saves against the Red Sox more than any other team in baseball.
- Good for Youk to let new set-up man Marte know that the Sox are mighty tough to beat at Fenway.
- Good for Jon Lester to get big outs when he needed them to keep the game close through the 1st 6 innings.
On the questionnable side:
- Didn't you think J.D. Drew should have caught that ball over by the right field line that went off his glove?
- What was Tito thinking when he sent Javy Lopez out to pitch the 9th? It was nothing short of a miracle that Lopez got out of that inning.
More good things happened than bad & we'll take a hard fought win against the Yankees. All the fans got their money's worth.
