One win in the books, about 95 more to go to make the playoffs. Regardless, it's always great to win the home opener in front of a sellout crowd.
Beckett was the Beckett of 2007.
The Red Sox hitters looked more professional than the Rays. Tampa Bay had swings at a lot of bad pitches & took too many good ones.
Other than Ellsbury at the plate & Oki's pitching in the 8th, everyone else had a good day. No errors in the field & contributions up & down the line-up.
It's only one game. But you couldn't have scripted a better opening.
