It's All About Pitching

The Red Sox may not have spent like the Yanks to get starting pitching. But there is strength in numbers & we have the numbers.

Josh Beckett - Jon Lester - Dice-K - Tim Wakefield - Brad Penny - Clay Buchholz - John Smoltz. How's that for safety in numbers!

If CC Sabathia &/or AJ Burnett go down with injuries, where's the Yanks back-up arms?

And what's the chances of the Tampa Bay staff going another full season without injuries?

I like our chances in the AL East - a lot.

If CC or AJ go down??????? It's entirely possible. But we have to talk about your safety in numbers. Let's see......Beckett, Wake, Smoltzie, Penny have all spent considerable time on the DL. Dice-K is good.....if you like 7 hr games with lots of walks. The Sox are taking a lot of chances this year.......seriously how many times in one year can you catch lightning in a bottle? Maybe they are thinking this improves their chances of 1 working out.
Tampa Bay really came out of nowhere. I never thought they would make it past June. THey surprised everyone......never count them out. The East is the toughest division in baseball. I will give you this....I bet the Sox have a one in five chance of winning the east.
