Lester & Dice-K Can Seal A Playoff Birth

Wouldn't it be nice to sweep the Jays in Toronto & earn a playoff birth without counting on losses by Minnesota? We have the right starting pitching to do so.

Lester has put together a breakout year. No longer a 3-4-5 starter, Jon Lester has turned into one of the best lefties in the AL. He will be matched against Roy Halladay again which will be a good test for him. Lester knows the game will be low scoring, so he needs to be at his best.

Dice-K is our super starter for 5 innings. You can expect a high pitch count which drives everyone crazy. But at the same time, you can expect to start the 6th innings with 0 or 1 run on the board for the Jays. The Dice-man gets it done with lots of help from the pen. I hope he picks up the dinner tab for the relievers on a regular basis.

Ending the playoff dilemma this weekend will give the Sox a free week to rest guys & lineup their starters for the post-season.
