It was deja vu all over again. The faces on the Yankee fans in an 11-3 crushing defeat were familiar from 2004. The face on George Jr. in his box was saying to me "next year.". The post-game interviews in the Yankees clubhouse did not match the story in the eyes. The eyes of the players & manager said it's over for 2008.
Jason Bay drove in 4 of the first 5 Sox runs. "Pedroia the Destroya" sank the Yankees ship for this year with his first grand slam. (I called it to my wife before he hit it.) The Red Sox just keep doing it lately with contributions up & down the lineup.
A sweep for the last trip to Yankee Stadium with an afternoon win today would be icing on the cake.
