Sounds like a football score: Red Sox 19, Rangers 17.
As a fan, I was OK at 10-0, 12-2, even 12-10. When the Rangers took the lead 15-14 & then 16-14 it finally came to me. We have nothing to worry about. That's because the Texas pitching staff is the worst in the league. Their defense is last as well. And sure enough they proved me right.
Can you imagine the Texas locker room after that game? You score 17 runs & lose a game. I saw Texas play in Spring Training at their facility in Surprise, Arizona. The pitching & defense were bad then & it hasn't improved.
I think Nolin Ryan has his work cut out for himself in turning that franchise around. The Rangers looks years away after last night.
We'll take an ugly win vs. an ugly loss anytime. Tampa Bay's loss to the A's moved the Sox up a game in the standings.

i agree the rangers are having a rough time this year. personally i think nolan ryan would do better to actually get out there and pitch for them lol. it was a great game though. it proved that we can score runs but it also showed that we need to adjust our bullpen and with the addition of paul byrd we can move one of our young starters to the bullpen and have him adjust to the major league hitters there. ps the site is lookin great!!!
